Bianca's RED SHOE DIARY
EROTICA 2003
(Translated from french by our dear friend KosmikKreeper).
DEC. 2003.
You’ve probably noticed that I like to go to London once in a while. Usually when I go it’s to take part in Skin Two’s annual Rubber Ball. But this time round it was to go to an event called the Erotica Show, one of the
biggest of its kind. Who would’ve thought that I would be flying over the ocean twice in one month? Once in October for the Rubber Ball and now in November to sign autographs and meet fans and friends at the Erotica show at the Bizarre Magazine kiosk.
Strangely enough, in October and November, I’m on the cover of two different magazines that have two completely different styles: Playboy Lingerie and Bizarre. One has a softer approach to nudity while the other’s special annual fetish edition is quite provoking with
its sensationalistic genre. Nothing better than latex for this number of Bizarre. And it’s in this optic that last August, over the span of 14 days, I had the chance to do many different fetish photo shoots such as Dom/sub, catwoman, the pony, the crazy, the vampire vs the nun, school teacher and student, etc. We had a draining month but Martin and I were very proud with the results. Strangely, for the cover, the editor insisted that we represent the gigantism fetish (I didn’t even know it existed) inspired by the movie “Attack of the 50 Foot Woman” with a look inspired by Raquel Welch from the movie “One Million Years BC”. I would’ve loved to be in latex but we opted for an Amazon look. Even though latex wasn’t present I have to say that the cover looks fabulous!
And what does all this have to do with the Erotica show, you might ask? Simple: Bizarre Magazine had a kiosk there and invited Martin and I to take part. Martin ha had fun taking photos everywhere while I was signing autographs between 3pm and 6pm (or 4pm to 7pm).
We left Wednesday night and arrived Thursday morning. We stayed at the K-West. Since we still hadn’t slept and our bodies were cramped up from the flight, we relaxed in the hotel’s Jacuzzi. No need to tell you that it felt pretty good! We spent the rest of the day in our plush and comfortable room with nothing less than a king size bed!! We had to be refreshed for the first day of the exposition.
The next day (Friday) we woke up very tired. Even though we managed to sleep a bit in the afternoon, we had insomnia and didn’t fall asleep until 5am due to jetlag. We unfortunately couldn’t sleep on Friday because we had to be at the exposition for 3pm. So we got up at 11am and had breakfast in a quaint little restaurant nearby. I then did my hair and makeup. For the first day, I would be dressed in my nurse outfit.
The expo was only a 10 minute walk away at the Olympia. I assumed that there were going to be tons of porno film and dildo merchants but I was wrong. The place was very spacious and had the feeling of an old train station. Even though it was mid-afternoon, the place wasn’t too packed; probably because many people were still at work. I’m also very surprised when I see people smoking in public places because back home this has been forbidden for a couple of years now. It was actually quite amusing seeing some people trying on some latex clothing
with a cigarette in their mouth even though I have nothing against that (I occasionally smoke when I drink). Anyways, we didn’t get a chance to see everything at first because we had to head to the Bizarre Magazine kiosk. And what a kiosk it was! I had no idea that the kiosk would be so welcoming. Of course they were selling copies of the magazine but there were also sofas welcoming clients to sit down and on the walls there were huge posters of many of our magazine photos. Contrary to what I thought, for a Friday, I met lots of people. It was quite busy. Some of them had even been waiting for me since 2:30pm. It was nice to finally put faces to people from my forums
(Martin had posted an invitation to come and meet me here). While I was signing autographs and chatting with the people around (and understand how to write their names! Ah the British accent! :-)), Martin took photos of me, the people around and also of the stage show. It’s mostly due to these photos that I was able to view the entertainment. The show lasted around 30 minutes and was shown 4 times a day.
The concept was simple: sexy girls, sexy dancers, sexy MC, sexy clothes… everything was sexy! The MC, none other than Lucifire, was ravishing and for the opening of the show, she sang the title tack from Kill Bill. As for the rest of the team, there were lots of beautiful women but my eyes were mostly on the very seductive Masuimi Max... She’s always full of energy and has a killer smile. It was a pleasure to meet her twice in one month. Contrary to the Rubber Ball, we actually had time to exchange a few words and who knows, maybe one day soon, we’ll do a photo shoot together. It all depends if we go to L.A. this winter.
So where was I? Oh yeah! I finished my autograph session at 6:30pm. We were so tried that we went and had dinner and tried not to go to bed too late. But once again insomnia hit us so at 2:00am we watched Ghoulies (rated a poor 3.2 on IMDB) on our DVD player. Another one of Martin s tests I ve never seen such a boring movie. We thought it would put us to sleep but it seemed to have the opposite effect. I had to take a sleeping pill at 7:00am only to wake up again at 11:00am still buzzed by the pill. Yark
I started to feel a lot better after breakfast so I got ready for our second day. This time I would wear a pewter dress that I had just received from SuperLiquid the Bond dress. Since there’s a small tire at the base of the dress, Martin went to pump it up at the gas station while I got ready.
This time round we had to be there by 4:00pm and when we got there the crowd was so dense that I had problems breathing. We finally made it to the kiosk and realized that there were already many people waiting for me. I felt quite honored! Let’s just say that my pen got a major workout that day! I had some angst that some people might get drunk towards the end of the day since they were serving beer but that wasn’t the case. Every one was respectful and looked forward to having their picture with me and chat a little. Since the Skin Two kiosk was just in front of Bizarre’s and that they were still selling the #41 edition with me on the cover,
some would go over and buy it and come back for an autograph; something I found quite amusing. It was a pleasure to meet everyone and I was slightly surprised with their interest in me and my work. Mostly working from home, in my studio and online, I keep forgetting that I have a small fan club on this planet…
At around 7:30pm, Martin and I had a chance to do some shopping. Our first stop was at the Torture Garden kiosk where I bought a nice pink and white blazer and a sexy tie. I can’t wait to show it to you! Just think that I had swore never to wear pink latex! How tastes change! We also visited the Fairygothmother kiosk where we ended up with a black and red corset with multiple buckles. Since they didn’t have my size (22 inches) in stock, I should be receiving it shortly. I also ordered another black blazer that was quite sexy but again they didn’t have extra smalls in stock, unfortunately… that’s pretty much all we had time for since the expo closed at 9:00pm. We had one day left to finish up our shopping…
We were still quite tired Sunday morning. We once again had insomnia. We tried Ghoulies part 2 (rated 3.1 on IMDB- Geeee, there's even part 3 and 4!!) but it didn’t work. We tossed and turned all night. Too bad the Jacuzzi wasn’t opened during the night. So 11:00am arrived quite abruptly and it was time to get ready and to put on my nurse outfit. I was more comfortable dressed as a nurse because since I was sitting down a lot to sign autographs, it got sweaty and sticky in the Bond dress having my weight on my toosh and thighs. So, once ready, we arrived only to find out that the place was even more packed then the previous day! It was quite suffocating! Since we had a few hours ahead of us we managed to do some more shopping. A part
from TG and Fairygodmother, there was Skin Two, Madame-V, a school for strippers, sex shops, lingerie, etc. I didn’t find many things but I did fin a nice riding crop with fake pink diamonds from Bo’s Tit Bits and a black umbrella from a merchant that I unfortunately don’t remember the name. Let’s just say that we held back and kept our wallets happy. Also, it’s better to be able to try the clothes on that’s why I like these expos. With my thin waist, my generous hips and my voluptuous chest it’s really difficult to find clothes that fit me just right. Even online custom orders aren’t 100% trustworthy!
After shopping I went back to my autographs. Once again there was a crowd and I didn’t have time to be bored. At around 7:30pm, Giles & Anna, the Inner Sanctum designers paid me a visit (which made me very happy because Martin and I adore them!) and also brought a red catsuit for me to try.
It was a test piece to verify my correct measurements. I would love to do business with Inner Sanctum and wear their creations. But for that we had to make sure that the measurements taken back in October were correct (Inner Sanctum seems expensive but trust me when I say that your garment will fit you like a glove! I’ve never seen such perfectionists in my life! :-)). A part from the neck being a bit tight all was perfect. There you go, a new catsuit to my collection: simple but sexy. It’s my first catsuit with a “V” cut on the stomach instead of a horizontal cut which slices the upper body quite coldly. I usually hide it by wearing a corset. But with this catsuit it’ll be pleasure wear it with or without a corset. I also like this shade of red… it tends towards burgundy more than the “Coca-Cola” red that I usually wear. The final count: 1 catsuit, 1 corset, 1 blazer + miniskirt, 1 umbrella, 1 riding crop and eventually, a black blazer with thigh high sock to match with the blazer + miniskirt. Not bad…
So there you have it. I don’t think that I need to tell you that we also slept horribly on our last night. There’s no way to explain why we’re so sensitive to jetlag and for so long! On the positive side, it gave me the opportunity to think about the people that I met, the things I bought, the trip in general… but I was very happy taking the plane home Monday morning. At least if I had to have insomnia (which didn’t occur), I would be in the comfort of my home with my cats and ferrets (yup, I now have a second ferret that I named Cassis. I’ll put a photo of her very soon in the bio section of the Glamour Lounge). Even with the lack of sleep I really enjoyed my stay in London and I definitely recommend the Erotica Show to anyone who might have the chance to be in the area next year. It’s worth the time but watch your wallet! :-)
