RED SHOE DIARY

  • CEMETERY PART TWO: SUCCUBUS`S LAIR
    JULY, 2001.

It's been almost two and a half years since Martin and I started our website and one of the 1st photo shoots that we did was our cemetery one. We never realized that this shoot would turn out to be so popular and appreciated by our members. The success of the shoot was both the cemetery itself that inspired me in my poses, and the beautiful purple gown that Martin and I created. Through the years, we've received lots of feedback on our various shoots and still today, the cemetery shoot ranks as one of your favorites.

So, what I'm proposing now is a come back! I went back to the same cemetery but this time at the age of 23 instead of 19. I have to mention that the photos of the 1st cemetery shoot were taken before the official opening of my site. Looking back at the photos from that shoot, I can really notice how much I've changed. Luckily, I prefer the way I look today. ;-) So, as I was saying before going off the beaten path, I went back to the biggest cemetery in Montreal. I tasseled my hair, I put on my makeup to give myself a slightly somber look, and I put on the black demon cape that Martin made for me. This cape is inspired by the pewter one but it's opened wider at the stomach and it ends in fringes. I completed my outfit with gloves, socks and underwear, all of black latex of course; not forgetting the collier that I'm wearing around my neck. The costume wouldn't be complete without my 8-inch platform boots under knees with the heels measuring 6 inches! Boots and high-heel shoes have now become a new fetish for me. So I'm slowly developing a small collection of those little beauties! ;-)

We took many pictures in front of the famous rusted iron gate that, for the longest time, was the background in my menu. But we also found other marvelous areas; like the big copper doors and the very romantic statue where I could lie down for a few moments. My 1st experience in the cemetery inspired emotions of calm and peace but this time I felt a bit more mischievous and diabolic. You'll be able to see a surprise malefic look in the last series of photos.

I also bought my 1st gasmask at the army center here in Montreal. As you already know, I really enjoyed my first experience with the masks back in February so I decided to buy one! I find this one very feminine and fits very well around my face. We took a good number of pictures with the mask even though it was about 30 degrees Celsius outside and it was difficult to breathe.

You should've seen all the security guards patrolling everywhere in the cemetery looking for us. We had to tell them that we where doing a student project and even then, a little while longer, they finally kicked us out. Fortunately, beside this huge cemetery, there's another small one just as lovely. So we finished our shoot there for a total of 200 photos. And in my arrogance, I ended the shoot in the nude, wearing only my boots, socks and gloves. BAAAHHHH. I had to do it at least once in my life! ;-) To bad for the security guards. They missed a great show!

When I look at both those shoots taken in the same place, I realize how my talent as a model has developed. I acquired a sense of security that transpires in the images. Being a model remains a universe of freedom and creativity. I've retained a certain innocence that allows me to have as much fun as before without ever considering it as work. It was a very difficult choice that I had to make 8 months back between my career as a teacher or that of a model. For the longest time I was afraid of regretting my choice to pursue as a model. But now, when I see where I stand now and whom I'm with, I'm not scared anymore.

Latex was the beginning of a newfound freedom. As for the cemetery, it was the source of inspiration for the essence of my site.
